privacy policy
Who we are
We are P4Parking UK LTD of 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX,
registered in England. Our Company number is 06751164.
When collecting the data specified in this privacy policy,
we are the Data Controller. This policy has been produced in line with the UK
General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA
2018) and the Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA 1998).
How do we collect your personal data?
When the warden issues a Parking Charge to a vehicle,
pictorial evidence is obtained of both the vehicle and the surrounding area in
which the vehicle is parked. If you were the registered keeper when the
parking charge was issued, we will obtain your name and address from the Driver
and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA), to notify you of the parking charge. We
will also obtain Keeper details from the DVLA if an affixed parking charge
which was placed on the vehicle remains unpaid after 28 days.
If you
are not the registered keeper of the vehicle, then your data has been provided
by:
A third
party who has confirmed that you were responsible for the vehicle on that date;
A third party who has confirmed that you were driving the vehicle on that date;
A third party who has confirmed that the vehicle was on hire or leased to you
on that date
We collect information from you when you submit an appeal
for a parking charge or transfer of liability.
What is the lawful basis for processing personal data?
When parking on a development managed by P4Parking UK LTD
you enter a contract, processing is necessary for ensuring compliance with the
terms & conditions displayed in the car park are adhered to and used to
enforce the parking conditions when necessary.
Who do we share data with?
We will only share your information within our organisation,
authorised staff members and the legal/dept collections agencies we work with
in the event where a parking charge remains unpaid.
When a parking charge is appealed to the independent appeals
body all the information submitted in the original appeal will be shared with
the adjudicator.
How long will we keep your personal data?
How long we keep your data for depends upon the status of
the parking charge issued to the vehicle, if the parking charge is paid or
cancelled, the data will be deleted sooner than a parking charge that remains
unpaid.
We may hold some of your data with third parties, but where
we do, we ensure these third parties also only keep the data for as long as
necessary and adhere to our retention policies.
We will store your personal data for no longer than
necessary to support the purposes explained above. We keep the personal data we
hold about you for up to a maximum of 6 years from the date of collection
unless related correspondence or legal claims are on-going.
